Radlett SRFI - Drone Operations 2026-2029 - Notification to Local Police.

Hi All, 

I have received the below email from Segro. Please not you may notice drone activity in and around the site. 

I am writing to inform you that we will shortly be conducting drone operations at our construction site located at AL2 2ET – Off the A414. These operations are going to be conducted at least twice weekly for the next two-three years, and this represents an opportunity to work with the emergency services. 

The drones will be used solely for legitimate construction-related purposes, such as progress monitoring, inspections, and site documentation. All operations will be carried out and authorised by the CAA in accordance with current UK aviation regulations and best practice, with appropriate safety. controls in place.

We are keen to work proactively with the emergency services to ensure public reassurance and to avoid any unnecessary concern or reports arising from drone activity in the area. Should you require any further details about the nature, timing, or scope of these operations, or if there are any local considerations we should be aware of, we would be very happy to discuss them. With social media and a national lack of awareness around Aviation Law, I feel notifying your constabulary that we will be flying may stop unnecessary concerns from resident(s), Public and businesses being escalated through yourselves
